The Crown Chakra is associated with the color violet or white and is connected to our spiritual nature and our capacity to allow spirituality to become an important part of our physical lives. 

We use the seventh chakra as a tool for communicating with our spiritual nature where the ultimate goal is total spiritual enlightenment.  It is through this energy center that the life force is dispersed from the universe into the lower 6 chakras.

Sacred Truth:  Live in the Present Moment - Achieve a personal relationship with the Divine.  Let go of the past, do not anticipate the future and live in the presence of the Divine.

When this energy is balanced we can transcend the laws of nature, total access to the unconscious and the subconscious.  When there is deficient violet energy, we may feel immobilized, indecisive and unhappy.  Excessive violet energy may lead to feelings of frustration, depression and a sense of unrealized power.  We may also experience migraines or headaches and destructive sexual expression. 

Exercises that stimulate the Crown Chakra

Exercise your crown chakra with prayer or meditation.  Fasting, detoxing and using insense and smudging herbs like sage, copal, frankincense, myrrh and juniper also help to stimulate the crown chakra (these herbs are ritually inhaled through the nostrils or can be smoked through a ceremony pipe for purification purposes).

How to balance the Crown Chakra

Use meditation, guided visualization, and sitting or lying down in a quiet, peaceful setting.
